NSI Seminar Discusses ‘Possible Scenarios a nd Responses after the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict’

The National Strategy Institute (NSI) of Tsinghua University held a seminar on “Possible Scenarios and Responses after the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict” on March 16, 2022.

Experts and scholars had in-depth discussions on the impacts of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on the regional and world issues, possible scenarios and responses. They were of the view that the Russia-Ukraine conflict, mixed with the COVID-19 pandemic, reflected the heating power competition, resulting in the most profound reform in geopolitics, economy, security and other fields in a way never seen since the end of the Cold War. Thus, China should maintain its strategic focus, observe calmly, be cautious in words and deeds, seek advantages and avoid disadvantages, grasp the dialectical relationship between stability and change, and safeguard the fundamental national interests in the era of great changes.
