On December 2020，the National Strategy Institute of Tsinghua University held a Year-end Situation symposium. Participants point out that the current Pandemic interwoven with profound changes unseen in centuries in this year has caused the the international pattern deeply evolved. The global public health system is facing a severe test, and human society is experiencing the most serious pandemic of infectious diseases during the last one hundred years. International trade and investment have shrunk sharply, the flow of people and goods has been seriously blocked, unilateralism, protectionism and bullying have intensified, governance deficits, trust deficits, development deficits, peace deficits have increased, and instability and uncertainty have emerged in endlessly. At present, the global pandemic is still spreading, and there is a long way to go for countries to resist the pandemic, stabilize the economy and protect the people's livelihood. At the same time, the Chinese people, through painstaking efforts, have achieved major strategic results in the fight against the pandemic, and have contributed wisdom and strength to the global fight against the pandemic, thus attracting global attention. The contents of the meeting are now compiled as "Tsinghua National Strategic Research Report" for relevant reference.
