An 8-member delegation from the Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University met scholars at the National Strategy Institute (NSI) of Tsinghua University for an academic discussion on the afternoon of April 8, 2022. Topics like the United States’ policies on the ASEAN and South Asia, and China’s responds were discussed and reached some understanding. Both sides agreed that given the complex international situation and a raging COVID-19 pandemic, it is in the interests of both China and the US to maintain stable relations, and scholars from the two countries were obliged to play a positive role and make more contribution.
Those attending the colloquium included Mrs GENG Yan, vice president of the NSI; Mr QIAN Feng, director of the research department of the NSI; and Miss GUO Dan, assistant researcher of the NSI. The delegation from Schwarzman College included Professor Katherine Morton, Boeing chair professor for global affairs; Vasilis Trigkas, research fellow; and other Schwarzman scholars from Yale University, Virginia Commonwealth University and Princeton University.
